Product Information

Product Overview
The IRONWOD Ab Mat delivers targeted lumbar support and optimal spinal alignment for high-performance core training and high-volume sit-up workouts. Engineered to bridge the gap between the lower back and the training floor, it allows athletes to safely achieve a full pre-stretch in the abdominal wall, promoting full range of motion and intense core recruitment while reducing strain on the tailbone and hip flexors.

Built with a resilient high-density foam core wrapped in a durable, textured anti-slip vinyl exterior, it withstands rigorous commercial gym traffic and dynamic movement without shifting or bottoming out. Compact, lightweight, and versatile, it doubles as protective cushioning for handstand push-ups and joint-friendly mobility drills.

FAQs
Q: How does the ab mat improve standard sit-ups?
A: A flat floor causes the lower back to flatten, transferring excessive workload to the hip flexors and putting stress on the lumbar spine. The IRONWOD Ab Mat supports the natural curve of the lower back, allowing full abdominal pre-stretch at the start of each rep and complete contraction through full flexion.

Q: Which way should the mat face when performing sit-ups?
A: Place the higher, steeper contoured edge snug against your lower back/tailbone with the gentler sloping incline facing upward toward your upper back.

Q: Can the ab mat be used for movements other than sit-ups?
A: Yes. It is widely used in functional fitness for cushioning the head during strict or kipping handstand push-ups (HSPU), as knee protection during lunges or split squats, and for pelvic support during mobility stretches.

Q: How do shipping and delivery work?
A: All listed product prices are FOB. Shipping costs are not included at checkout and will be confirmed by our logistics team based on destination, shipment weight, and transit preference within 1-2 business days following order placement.
